BACK TO SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
Project Info:
This project included raising the roof to make room in the attic for a home office suite. The existing construction dates back to the 1930’s and the facade is clad in “clunker” style bricks in a rustic bond pattern. The new design incorporates an eyebrow dormer on the front roof and by extending a new cross gable above the existing roof ridge, we added a large gable window facing the rear. the gable window brings light into an other wise dark area of the remodelled attic space and is approximately twelve feet above the attic floor level, adding a contemporary architectural element to the space. The rakes and eaves were extended to add additional contemporary character to the residence.
